Oxygen production process
There are two adsorption towers filled with molecular sieve in PSA molecular sieve oxygen plant. The clean and dry compressed air enters the PSA oxygen plant and flows through the adsorption tower filled with molecular sieve (CMS). Compressed air flows through the adsorption tower from the bottom to the top. The molecular sieve has different adsorption capacity for nitrogen and oxygen under different pressures. Nitrogen, water, carbon dioxide and other components are adsorbed on the surface of molecular sieve. The oxygen that is not adsorbed is collected at the outlet to form product gas, which flows out from the upper end of the adsorption tower and enters the buffer tank. After a period of time, the oxygen adsorbed by molecular sieve in the adsorption tower is saturated and needs to be regenerated.
Regeneration is achieved by stopping the adsorption step and reducing the pressure of the adsorption tower. After short-term pressure equalization, the adsorbed tower begins to depressurize, remove the adsorbed oxygen, water, carbon dioxide and other components, and complete the regeneration process.
The two adsorption towers alternately carry out adsorption and regeneration to produce product oxygen with stable flow rate and purity. The switch between the two adsorbers is automatically completed by the programmable valve controlled by PLC. The performance of a PSA oxygen plant depends on the performance of adsorber, molecular sieve, process flow, equipment structure and electromagnetic pneumatic valve. The PSA oxygen plant produced by our company adopts the PLC programmable controller produced by Siemens of Germany, the high-quality molecular sieve and the electromagnetic pneumatic valve produced by AVA company.
